1908 Engraved Order of the Eastern Star Medallion

The Order of the Eastern Star is a branch of the Masonic temple with no gender-based memberships and open to all religious affiliations. Members wore rings and brooches denoting rank and relation to certain Masons and we periodically see these fascinating, talismanic pieces come through.

This brooch is made with 14k yellow gold and features multiple points of articulation, a top plate for engraving, and the emblematic multi-colored star with hand-laid red, yellow, blue, green, and white enamel and is marked with a 1908 date. It is 9.4 grams in weight and 2 x 1.5 inches.
