Hi, I’m Lauren, a designer at Baraka Gems with a lifelong love for gemstones and art! I’ve been a rockhound for as long as I can remember, drawn to the beauty and mystery of the natural world. My creative journey began with a degree in graphic design from Montana State University, where I was part of a community that shared a deep appreciation for geology and gemology. While working as an assistant graphic designer at a jewelry store, I discovered that jewelry design was more than just a job, it was a calling. After graduating, I moved to the Pacific Northwest to pursue this passion more seriously, gaining hands-on experience designing custom pieces and learning the foundations of the craft from skilled jewelers and mentors. When I came across the opportunity to join the team at Baraka Gems, it felt like the perfect fit. I’m grateful to be part of a company that values creativity, craftsmanship, and meaningful connection. Outside of the showroom you’ll usually find me in the outdoors: hiking, snowboarding, floating down a river, or soaking in live music from the barrier at a concert.
