Administrative Assistant & Sales Associate

Hello, my name is Claire, and my pronouns are she/her. I'm a native of the PNW, splitting my childhood between Seattle and Boise, ID. I'm excited to have joined the Baraka Gems team in February 2023. My journey here is a bit of a departure from my past experiences. Growing up with a family in the restaurant industry, including my chef father, I've held various positions in restaurants. This background has helped me develop a strong work ethic and a knack for customer service. I hold a Bachelor's degree in International Studies with an emphasis on international relations. Unfortunately, I graduated in the spring of 2020 from the University of Idaho when the whole world went on shut down, so my career path took a bit of a turn. While this may seem unconventional for my current role, I was drawn to Baraka because of its non-profit connection through A Ring of Hope. This connection aligns with my academic background and my passion for making a positive impact in global communities. When I'm not assisting customers or handling administrative tasks, you can find me perusing thrift stores and antique malls, or watching The Bachelor with my dad. I'm also a huge nerd and love cozy days spent playing video games and D&D.
